This rocks!! I am a material engineer loving BFS fishing. I'd lke to share some material science knowledge behind glass rod.
So far, the best glass bait finesse casting rods are a hollow blank (this is why solid glass rods are generally cheap. horrible function. no sensitivity..,, ).
In addition, the advanced glass-fibre cloth has taken the modern formulations which gives the blank greater stiffness than older glass blanks(for a long time, glass blank had a bad reputaion).
An example of advanced glass isЎ°S-glassЎ±made in UK. Ў°S-glassЎ±rod is priced at about 1000 dollars.
Japan's Anglo and Company's BRANDED Paragon G Glass is another example.
The fast recovery of the Japanese Anglo & Company custom rods (Youtube's the Enjoy Fishing Channel) is amazing.
Obviously now DANKUNG Glassfin is an advanced glass fibre with much favorable price. It's quite wonderful to see the Glassfin rod bounces back straight to an nearly standstill right after a beautiful and cool cast.
Generally speaking, for jig head and bottom contact lures (jig head soft lure, ned rig, eurotackle zviber, soft worm etc.) a carbon rod is more useful whereas for moving baits (all your sinking/floating/suspending/topwater minnows, pencils, jerkbaits) a glass rod is much more beneficial and more fun (my Glassfin rod + Calcutta Conquest BFS reel is an perfect combo). But DANKUNG 's new Boron Glassfin rod is likely to break this rule, Kevin told me Boron-Glass rod will be very good for both bottom lures and moving lures. That's still an experiment product, not released yet.
Wish I could win!

For both DANKUNG Glassfin and Japanese Anglo rod, when I am fishing something like a minnow or crank bait that soft action acts almost like a absorber that cushions the hit. This is an amazing experience I never have had with carboon rod.
It also helps set the hook for you almost like an circle hook. I basically needn't have to set the hook with my glass rods(glassfin, Anglo 4113, Majorcraft finetail etc), but I still make a slight upwards motion to ensure the hookset.
DanKung staff, Davis, assured me that unlike my AliExpress modified MingYang reel that came with a lot of deep scratches (the Ali vendor expects their customers to accept this and even charges a higher price), their modified MingYang reels would NOT come with scratches. Based on that I ordered a red one. DanKung was true to their word—the reel came without scratches and works well! I paired it with their Glassfin rod.
I just received it, was well packed and waiting time was very short. Many thanks to seller for the good communication and consideration. The rod is very well made for the money and it performs exactly I was expecting.

I start my review on the Glassfin rod that I purchased, by saying that I'm more than satisfied with this product. It is exactly what I was expecting the blank is right as described moderat fast and it loads 2 gr lure with ease. I haven't got the chance to try it in trout fishing, I will next month, but I did tried it on short street fishing around my home and I managed to catch some perch and small zander. I also shared my thoughts on it with my friends and on the Facebook group called BFS BUDGET FINESSE FISHING, which is growing every day, more bfs users joining daily.
Thank you very much for this rod, keep up the good work.
I bought this for my creek fishing at the creeks in NC. It worked fine. the quality is very good. Overall speaking, it's similar to my Anglo rod(http://www.anglo.jp/) that I got it at 110,000 Japanese Yen(about 870 US dollars). So this rod is a budget edition of Anglo rod with a little bit softer power than Anglo. Here are pictures of my Anglo and GLASSFIN rod.
This rod is an underrated rod in my book, performs on a high level fiberglass rod and doesn't cost what some of the popular bfs fiberglass rods do,such as Dan Kung's GLASSFIN which is 120+ dollars. the tip part is fiberglass and the handle part is graphite. Excellent flick casting capability. I yesterday landed a tiger trout at a narrow spot with this hybrid rod.
Beautiful Glassfin rod and modified MingYang W300L from Dankung.
