The quality of this pouch is amazing.. you will not believe me, I am still shooting the first one I got with the angry owl! I have over 5000 shots out of it, and it is still in shape! Crazy material, very nice.
As an avid collector, I just could not resist ordering the Butterfly Mini Sling.
Like it's big brother (the Butterfly), the flaring "earlobe" is it's most distinguishing feature..
It is more pronounced on the Mini in order to provide additional thumb support given its reduced size, overall width of 95 mm. (83 length).
A comfortable and safe shoot despite it's diminutive siz,e, even in full butterfly mode.
Mine was beautifully wrapped (two toned, red and black)., and came banded with 1632 looped tubes that I could actually use with ease (another first).
Well done DK!
I love this little shooter. It's small and ready to go anywhere, anytime. This is quite similar in design to The Black Eagle, only this one is a little shorter in the handle making it even easier to conceal into a pocket. The fork design is a little more curved than the Eagle so making this catapult a little more "forgiving". Wrapped in para-cord, I provides a solid grip onto a powerful pocket slingshot.
WOW!!! What a nice little shooter with plenty of "handle" to grip onto. Slim in style but with a little longer handle, this slingshot is easy to stick into the pocket and bring anywhere with you. I appreciate the pronounced protrusions on top of the forks. For anyone who's had a band slip off of the forks, you'll appreciate how this slingshot keeps things in line for you. Somewhat similar in design to The Tiny Ghost, this one is wrapped with rubber tubing giving a great purchase on the slingshot.
I received this through a promotion offered by Dankung. It works very well for replacement for some of my Western style "wrist rockets". As well, I've put some onto a couple of OTT catapults created by some Western sling shot makers who seem to like to put the flat bands on all their slingshots.
WOW!!! What a nice catapult! I like the wide width to the forks. It's a beautifully crafted, solid piece of construction. Feel very solid in the hand. The aiming points are truly helpful when using aiming style shooting as opposed to instinctive shooting style. The bands that came with it would need Jorge Spare to draw back, but putting on a milder set of bands made it enjoyably shootable. A great addition to anyone's collection.
The first time I had to insert the smallest of bbs to plug up the end of a tube, I thought I'd never accomplish what needed to be done. The bb slipped and slopped all over the place and I was covered in sweat just trying to get that damn little bb into that damn little tube.
Then, along came the bb installer and all that grief just went away.
Just the "plink" you hear when you connect with the target is most rewarding. I've purchased both sizes. The 4cm works great and stands up well to 3/8" steel balls from a double thereaband gold ss.
On-order I have a set of the 3cm targets and will advise upon receipt.
This replacement piece is designed for the "platinum" CatchBox, however, I bought one and just fixed it into my "economy" CatchBox and it works just like a champ. Lets me shoot a little heavier shot and/or bands and not risk causing any damage to the Box itself.
I bought one of these thinking that it would "monsterously" big for my medium-sized western hand. Nope! It fits perfectly. If it's too small for your ring finger, try it on your pinkie. After all, the magnet goes on the inside. If it's too big ... try your index finger.
I've got my second one on order now.
I received this as a promotional item from Dankung with purchase of a Panther. Great little product I've seen other "banding rigs" that are much larger and more cumbersone, but I don't think that they'll do any better of a job than this nifty little machine.
I've used this indoors and outdoors. Tabs are conveniently located on the outside to allow it to be hung-up, or just set it on the ground and shoot away. Inside, I clip a pair of laundry pant hangers onto the top outside edges and it hangs into a closet just like it was made for it. I also purchased the "replacement" back-stop (even though it's intended for "the other" catch box sold on Dankung.com), and added it onto the back-stop that came with the kit and this makes the whole thing much more robust. I added one of the metal target discs (also, available on Dankung.com) and this CatchBox becomes a very rewarding device!.
PS: I place a magnet inside on the bottom (just let it lie there) and when the steel shot goes in, it's immediately attracted to the magnet which makes reclaiming your discharged ammo a snap.
I guess I've had more trouble than most getting used to this creative design. I like it very much and believe that once I can get a lighter set of bands on it, it should shoot (for me) even better. Being someone who likes "unique" and "different" things ... this fits the bill!
Solidly made steel ss. I found the para-cord wrapping to be a little looser than what I'd like, but that's not a deal-breaker. Yes, this is on the large size. I have medium-sized western hands so I can get a good pinch-grip on the hooks at the top, but with my hand size, I'm unable to get a good purchase on the handle itself. All of this fades away when I start shooting... This thing is extremely accurate. I believe that the Agile Toucan might be a better fit and I have one on order. Will provide review of the Agile Toucan after it arrive and is used.
Waste of money if can't choose size. I wear a size 12 ring, probably bone will fit, I am sure sizes run very small. Note FEMALE hand in photo, if Asian, probably small even for Western female hand, much less a male western hand.
Beautiful unique catapult. It is worth having just for its nontraditional approach. Snail is a safer alternative to key-ring shooters and it takes just a little bit more space, so it is perfect for every day carry. The best part I like about this slingshot is that it is unrecognizable as a slingshot without its tubes, if you have to travel through a country/state(I’m pointing at you NJ) where slingshots are banned just take off the tubes and don’t worry about your beautiful metal abstract art sculpture. Definitely buy extra tubes because the ones Snail comes with are ridiculously short.
Orangutan is a good middle ground between large and small dankung slingshots. It have a wide large fork so shooting large objects like paintballs / firecrackers / fishing darts won’t cause a problem and it have short handle so it can fit nicely in a pocket without sticking out. Tubes auto centering works perfectly every time, consider buying extra tubing since ones this slingshot coming with is a bit too short. So far this is my favorite non EDC dankung, for every day carry I prefer a Snail

I bought one of these "plastic" X6's just to see what it's like.
Now, I cant' wait to get a metal one, better yet, maybe an Antelope!!!

a bit more expensive but latex feels "fresher" than the other tubes I got from non dankung in a box, so I assume it will last longer
It was probably done for structural integrity since it is on a thin side already, also It would not remind snail as much without round holes for eyes
