Field Test by BFS fishing expert in US

Background: Fiberglass is not a new material. There have been some fishing rods made of common fiberglass material, which was produced for other purposes. Big toughness, cheap, heavy is anglers' intuitive impression to fiberglass rods. Say many fiberglass rods are built with lack of strength and casting ability for precise casting.
Goals: Many anglers of finesse fishing are eager to a decent fiberglass rod. We begun to develop the hollow three-section fiberglass material in 2019. Feeling the lightest strike, smooth close quarters casting, precise pin point accurate casting, having enough backbone are four goals of the new fiberglass material.
Invention: The raw material including glass fiber cloth, wire, guides, wood material are all imported oversea with high standard. And the high-precision processing equipment imported from Japan are used in making new fiberglass. A mature new fiberglass, GLASSFIN were successfully invented after 1 year and six months of experiments, testing, tune. The four goals(Feeling the lightest strike, smooth close quarters casting, precise pin point accurate casting, having enough backbone) above have been achieved.

Why is having enough backbone important?
1: Enough backbone is for good sized fish - Trout outside Japan (US, UK for example) tends to be a fair bit larger than in Japan with 12"-20" not being uncommon. Such as average adult brown trouts are 12-19 inches long and weigh 1-3 pounds.
2: Relatively strong backbone is very good for effective flick casting in narrow place.
Fiberglass Rod Design Philosophy

The difference between quality fiberglass rods and graphite rods
Fiberglass and graphite are quite different material. Graphite fiber has high elasticity, fiberglass relatively low elasticity than graphite fiber.
Fiberglass rods recovery slowly and strongly. That's why many anglers use fiberglass rods for flick casting, backhand casting and other high-skill casting.
Angler have much better control in the whole process of casting motion with fiberglass rods, more comfortable, more enjoyable experience of skillful casting motions.
Our unidirectional S fiberglass material is slower to recovery from being bended than carbon fiber, which gives user a little more time to release the line, so you will find it easier to bring fine control on the cast motion, and very forgiving to get timing to do thumb press and control of accurate point of lure fall.

Glassfin 4,9 ul 2-6g

Ad oggi la mia canna preferita è la Glassfin 4,9 ul 2-6g M.Fast Vetro UD; il fusto è una vera goduria fa una piega fino al manico, con una progressione che riesce a gestire molto bene i combattimenti sia con le piccole che con le grosse trote, e una sensibilità con solo treccia che dà una sensazione quasi come la grafite più che Ottima, un buona operabilità con esche di contrazione come 3-4g, e sotto i 2,5 e più 4,5g si inizia a perdere la gestione e precisione diventato sciatta, la versatilità tutto sommato e Ottima, lancia bene in modo accurato sia a corto che a lungo raggio e si riesce a fare facilmente un flip cast, si carica quasi senza sforzo e ritorna quasi subito ferma, e se si scuote si a la sensazione di una canna rigida. La qualità dei materiali sono più che discreti, ma mi domando se anche questa canna fosse stata equipaggiata con materiali pregiati, aumentano il costo del prodotto finale. Grazie infinite DANKUNG per averla realizzata con un costo alla portata di tutti.

This is a really top class rod.
Beautifully crafted with quality materials.
Do not expect a very soft rod as some other Chinese products, Dankung explain this in the specs.
All in all: a beautiful rod with character.

New trout fishing experience with this glass rod!

its moderate action glass enable a much easier time keeping a fish on the hook, especially in stream fast current and even more so with barbless hooks(I prefer single barbless hook, Barbless hooks minimize harm to the fish while still maintaining a strong hold). The rod sways and bends, yet it's robust enough to ensure the quarry remains on the hook.. I really enjoy it

Good backbone and well balanced

As an old glass rod user, I can attest to the fact that these rods have enough backbone to handle some seriously good-sized fish. When I'm out on the water targeting trout in the US, I know that my glass rod is up to the task of reeling in fish in the 12 to 20 inch range. There's something truly satisfying about feeling the bend in the rod as I hook into a big fish and start to bring it in. Don't get me wrong, this rod also perform very well in fishing small fishes.
Of course, having enough backbone is just one part of the equation. This rod is well balanced with other important properties, such as sensitivity and responsiveness.
I think I have got a glass rod that strikes the perfect balance for my needs and ensures that I have an enjoyable and successful time out on the water of stream.

This is Hands Down the best

This is Hands Down the best spinning rod I own. I have some JDM carbon rods, costing up to around $400. Yes, they are very different animals than this, with their very light weight and their amazing sensitivity. But they are Not as fun as this rod. The taper is ideal. I have two other excellent UL glass (one JDM and one custom rod from the US) but both are stiffer in the tip than this rod, so less fun to cast super-light baits. With high-end 5-lb JDM braid, the tiny tungsten jigs that I tie cast beautifully. Because of this rod's light tip, it's just easier to cast hyperlight baits with this rod than with the stiff-tipped carbon rods, even my UL ones. The rod as a casting tool is So forgiving.

Where this rod really shines is in fish-fighting. With this rod, I landed a carp of approximately 10 pounds in Kentucky a couple of years ago that I foul hooked In The Tail, using 3-lb JDM braid = not much fun for the angler or the fish. The rod handled it amazingly well. As with virtually any glass rod, you don't have to worry about breaking it, even on very heavy fish. No, I don't recommend this rod for anything but smaller fish, but it Will handle a monster if you are patient.

I'm a professional fly-casting instructor, and am simply not swayed by what my rods look like, but this rod is very nice to look at. The un-tinted glass kind of glows.

I confess to initially being skeptical that the CDM could design a truly great rod. Boy, was I wrong about that! This rod is a remarkable achievement. If DanKung starts making comparable rods that are stouter in power, sign me up. (And, no, I have no relationship with DanKung.)
