This reel was originally designed for GUI fish shown in above video. GUI fish is a Chinese fish that are generally about 10-25". GUI fish like hiding between stones to ambush the small fishes. 'Instant strike and swim back to wedge of stones' is its pattern, which makes fishing GUI a big challenge. The anglers here often fish for them with softlure rigs(Texas rig,carolina rig,zerd rig...), using very fast action, very sensitive rods, and very light lines to be able to feel the strikes. Anglers have to be able to feel the light weight and resistance of the lure - and set the hook simultaneously and reel in fast to pull the GUI out of stones area, otherwise the GUI fish quickly swim back into stones wedget and lead to a failure of fishing.
This Clamber 100 has 8.1 gear ratio and is overally optimized for above operations.
