The components of a Dankung

Postby shooter » Tue Aug 25, 2009 1:41 pm

The dankung differentiates itself from other kinds of slingshot by its components that make up of the dankung and how these components are constructed together.

A dankung consists of three key parts, the body, the tube and the pouch. One optional element is the coat of body of dankung. The band, pouch and coat can be taken off and on from the body of dankung easily, which enable the players to customize their own dankung for specific purposes and enjoy the fun of DIY.

The following the pictures show the components and how they are combined together.

So do you cut sleeving material from the same bands that you are mounting to hold the folded over bands to the pouch?

Yes, exactly. You really observed it very carefully.

Just cut the same rubber tube in half .
It's very esay work and very convenient.

What other material would you recommend for wrapping the slingshot body, aside from paracord and rubber tubing? And, I would like to know how to 'start' and 'end' the wrapping without working itself loose from using the slingshot.

We think the paracord and rubber tubing are two best materials for wrapping.
Both of them can be acquired easily.
